THE LOVE STORY
HOW WE MET: We were set up on a blind date by a mutual friend.
WHAT ATTRACTED HER TO HIM: I could tell right away he was a good man by the way he carried himself. He was incredibly polite, kind, and had so much character.
WHAT ATTRACTED HIM TO HER: She was the sweetest person I’d ever met.
YOUR PROPOSAL STORY: Cameron and my first date was in Napa so he planned for his two sisters to take me out on a girl’s day – nails, lunch, and shopping. He told me he had to work that day, which he typically did so I didn’t really think twice about it.
There is this BIG chair downtown where we took our first photo on our first date and that’s where he was waiting with a bouquet of red roses. As he proposed, both of our families slowly came out of the stores they were hiding in. It was perfect! After, he reserved a table at one of Napa’s finest restaurants for all of us and had a table and area decorated. It was simply perfect!
THE WEDDING
FAVORITE PART OF THE WEDDING: When Cameron and I got a moment to ourselves taking photos after the ceremony, speeches, and of course the dancing.
MOST UNEXPECTED PART OF YOUR WEDDING DAY: How well it came together. We originally had a 130 person wedding planned for May, with a photo booth, DJ, more flowers, drapes, the works.
That wedding got cancelled due to COVID so we dramatically downsized the wedding and guest list. I was surprised at our July wedding that things worked out better than I expected due in part that we didn’t plan out all the details.
WHAT, IF ANYTHING, WOULD YOU DIFFERENTLY? I definitely would have hired a day of coordinator.
YOUR ADVICE FOR OTHER BRIDES-TO-BE: Come up with back up plans and don’t stress on the day of if things don’t go as planned. Enjoy the moments that day because it flies by.
ADVICE FROM THE GROOM: Ask the bride-to-be how you can help with the wedding plans. It’s a lot of work and anything you can do to help will ease her stress.
THREE WORDS TO DESCRIBE YOUR WEDDING: Romantic, intimate, and fun!
HONEYMOON DESTINATION: Two and a half weeks in Bali that got cancelled due to COVID but we’re hoping to take that trip some time in the near future.
