You did the big wedding the first time around, and now you are trying to keep it simple and low-key. Easy enough, but choosing something tasteful and complementary to wear is much harder. We worked with Debbie O’Hearn, Personal Wedding Stylist and she showed us 4 ways to achieve just that.
Vintage: I adore this vintage dress with matching jacket from the 50s—it has enduring appeal! Does it remind you of a dress Audrey Hepburn would have worn? Love the shimmery gold and metallic threads—great neutral color! Add vintage earrings and pearl necklace, like Audrey!
Traditional Elegance: I especially like this elegant, taupe-colored lace dress. The deep V showcases the bride’s pearls–borrowed from her grandmother. This color choice is a beautiful option if you are looking for a more traditional wedding gown style. Add a vintage fur shawl, also borrowed from grandma, and the result is a stunning example of a non-white classy look.
Winter & Spring Friendly: This dress—a standout in gunmetal with gold accents—would be perfect for an evening wedding in a January-March time frame. The rabbit-fur adds warmth to this sleeveless, full skirt,
floor length dress.
Modern: Consider a pop of color. Lace adds elegance to this knee-length dress; the bright coral color is perfect to wear anytime, especially Summer. Throw in a destination venue–like a beach–and you are
set. No shoes required!
