Magical Metallic Gold Wedding

Wedding Suite

Wedding invitations and place cards complimented the theme perfectly with the Gatsby style and the period feel of the Grand Island Mansion in metallic gold and black.

The Ceremony

Accents by Sage started with the classic simplicity of bright white flowers at the ceremony site, setting off the impeccably verdant landscape.

The Reception

Next was the Mansion’s Collonade room, the setting for many of the Sacramento area’s most fabulous wedding receptions. The inspiration of this metallic gold and black wedding was from accents throughout the Mansion. Gold and wrought iron black elements grace many of the rooms, along with the round room with a black background and metallic gold crackle. This metallic gold and black wedding theme really introduced a new look to this classic venue. Though not originally designed as a salute to Gatsby-style weddings, it certainly would work well for it.

The head table was the highlight, with sequined gold linens and black runner. Adding the bouquets from the bride and bridesmaids brings pretty to the table.

Guest tables were draped with striking gold satin, and chairs sported black covers with gold satin bows. Tables included glass and gold chargers under white plates with gold flatware to make this a truly magical metallic gold and black wedding.

Centerpieces are tall, elegant floral arrangements in white, green with a pop of pink. Hydrangeas are amazing for making large centerpieces fill a space. Scattered metallic gold candles and vases round out the Gatsby decor. 

The Lounge

With lots of outdoor space at the Mansion, a lounge area was the logical choice on the side patio, just outside the game room. Metallic gold chairs, candleabras and small flower centerpieces adorn tables. Use of interesting pieces, like the birdcage, bring whimsy to the area.

Wedding Cake

This towering cake is one of a kind. Metallic gold art-déco layers with white and black accents, suiting the theme perfectly. Soft pink sugar flowers soften the look. Beautiful, edible art for dessert.
