How did you meet? We met through the dating app Coffee Meets Bagel π
What attracted her to him? He had a great smile, a fun profile, and possibly loved Disney as much as I did. One of the first things we bonded over was our love of Disney, specifically that we both named Rapunzel and Flynn Rider (or rather Eugene) as our favorite princess and couple. The Disney duo has stuck with us through our relationship, including dressing up as the pair for Halloween.
What attracted him to her? She was the most caring person I had ever met. Her profile did not do her justice and she shined with inner beauty. As she mentioned before, her appreciation of Disney and Tangled really sparked our relationship in the beginning. From fairly early on, I knew she would be the one I would want to marry.
Your engagement story: Keith proposed at the place where we first kissed at William Land Park in Sacramento on August 15th, 2020, possibly one of the first super hot days of the year. He then surprised her by taking her back to her aunt’s house to reveal her whole family had come out to celebrate the occasion, and it took her completely by surprise; the whole proposal weekend was called Operation Rapunzel.
Tell us your COVID wedding planning experience: We are happy to have one another during this time, though it has changed some plans for us, as it has for everyone. With COVID still playing a large part in everyone’s lives, we are remaining hopeful that everything will work out as we plan our wedding for March 2021. Our venue, Wedgewood Weddings Sequoia Mansion in Placerville, has worked with us at every turn, and we have an amazing photographer in Lolita with Image Society Sacramento. Plans are still moving forward for now, sending thoughts and prayers out to all the other couples going through the same thing right now.
