Product: Good Karmal sent us their all-natural, creamy, Gluten-free, Kosher caramels. No artificial flavors, preservatives or colors are used. Shelf life is best within the first month. They can be refrigerated. Company mission statement says: Mahatma Gandhi said, “We must be the change we wish to see in the world.” Our mission is to sell the most delicious caramel with the hope that the positive message wrapped around each piece will reach as many people as possible. Believing that giving back to the Earth is the ultimate good karma, we strive for earth-friendly packaging, choosing either recyclable or reusable packaging produced from renewable resources.
Packaging: The packaging options were very nice. Cute pillow boxes in an assortment of colors, beautiful and customizable for any bride and groom. Available in white, ivory, pale pink, navy blue, rustic brown and black, the favor packs are uniquely finished with a custom-designed, full-color band featuring the details of the day. The caramel itself had the couples name on the wrapper, which unwraps and shares a message of your choosing.
Staff Test: We received the new 16 variety pack so we enjoyed getting to taste all the flavors. You can select any caramel flavor pairing you wish, including Vanilla, Sea Salt, Chocolate Sea Salt, Caramel Apple, Café Caramel and Butter Rum. The flavors were tasty for any caramel lover, but the Sea Salt and Cafe Caramel flavor won for taster Emma. The café flavor tasted more like plain caramel than café in her opinion, but even that was yummy. I tried the Chocolate Sea Salt, Vanilla and Caramel Apple. I have to say the Caramel Apple was the winner, with the Chocolate Sea Salt following.
Bride Reaction: All who got the chance to see it at our table liked the packaging and thought the caramel’s custom band was a nice touch.
Cost: With the custom box and message $6.00 each for 25-100 favors. Without the boxes, $1.10 each for 60-540 caramels. Order about 4-5 weeks out to give you time to approve the design and get the caramels as fresh as they can be.
SacBride Approved: This publisher and her tasting crew give this favor a big thumbs up!
