HOW DID YOU MEET?
We met in high school, at the end of our junior year! Devon caught my eye in the hallways, yet we had never taken a class together. One day in the cafeteria I told my friends “Devon’s a babe!” His friend heard me, turned around and got my number to give to him! Over the summer, texting turned into dates and getting to know each other. Our love and admiration for each other blossomed before our eyes. Before the summer was over, we made it official as boyfriend and girlfriend.

After our first few dates I could tell there was something special about Devon. He was not like the other guys. There is a tenderness to him that I felt connection to. He was sweet to me. We could open up and be honest about the awkward parts of dating.

She is the kindest, sweetest person I know, and has genuine empathy for other people. She’s also spontaneous and always down to have a good time, and encourages me to try things outside my comfort zone.

YOUR ENGAGEMENT STORY
We went for a spontaneous camping trip to a lake for the weekend. We went down to the water one evening and just enjoyed each other’s company for a while. Then at sunset, Devon got down on one knee and proposed! It was so magical with the lighting and the calm quiet of the lake. And then to Devon’s surprise, Rachel got down and proposed right back to him! It was so sweet, and is a memory we’ll both have forever.
