THE LOVE STORY
HOW WE MET: We met in school. We had an English class together.
WHAT ATTRACTED HER TO HIM: I had an instant connection with Thomas. He just felt so familiar and comfortable to be around. We really became best friends right away.
WHAT ATTRACTED HIM TO HER: Definitely her smile and her sense of humor. I thought to myself I have to get to know her. Pretty soon I wanted to be around her all the time.
THE PROPOSAL: One of our friends told us he wanted to propose to his girlfriend and needed us to come ring shopping. Of course I was happy to! Little did I now Thomas was just trying to see which kind of a ring I would like, and the shopping wasn’t for our friend at all. Normally Thomas isn’t very good at keeping secrets, but he did a great job this time! My mom plans a family Christmas card every year. so that year she told us she wanted to do the pictures on the Golden Gate bridge. I didn’t suspect a thing. So we all drove to San Francisco and went to one of the look outs overlooking the bridge. Thomas and I were posing for a picture, so I thought, when he got down on one knee. I was in shock at first, all I could say was “Are you serious!?”. But then of course I said yes. We spent the rest of the day with my family in San Francisco. It was the perfect day.
THE WEDDING
THE PRE-WEDDING MOMENT: We both loved being able to spend time with the girls and guys in the morning. All of us girls got ready together listening to music and having a good time. The guys all got to play some pool and hangout in the lounge.
MEMORABLE CEREMONY MOMENT: Neither of us were really nervous all morning, until we saw each other for the first time. We both instantly stared crying, (and so did everyone else).
MOST ROMANTIC MOMENT OF THE DAY: Saying our vows to each other in front of all of our friends and family.
THE UNEXPECTED MOMENT OF THE DAY: Unfortunately the grooms mother fell early that morning and fractured her neck which caused her to go to the ER. She was unable to attend the wedding, and we all missed her not being there.
MEMORABLE RECEPTION MOMENT: The speeches! My maid of honor and his best man did an amazing job and got everyone laughing.
MY FAVORITE PART OF THE DAY: The end of the night dancing and celebrating with everyone!
ADVICE FOR OTHER BRIDES: Just enjoy the day. Let someone else stress the details because it will fly by!
ADVICE FOR OTHER GROOMS: Be ready to cry! You may think that you won’t, but the second you see her coming down that isle it will hit you. Have some tissues ready in your pocket.
OUR HONEYMOON: We spent 9 days in Oahu! We rented a jeep and drove around the island, saw the Pearl Harbor Memorial, relaxed by the pool, went to an incredible luau, and laid out on the beach. We had a blast!
