We were researching favors, especially those that can be consumed or are truly useful. Lo and behold, a couple of companies got in touch with some interesting new products. Also being on an organic kick lately, this first one was truly intriguing.
Product: Amborella Organics creates lollipops that are far more creative than your average tootsie pop. These lollipops have interesting flavors like Lavender and Lemongrass or Rose and Champagne. After eating the lollipop, plant the biodegradable lollipop stick, and it grows into the herb or flower flavor.
Packaging: They all came with a little cardboard holder around the candy part with name, ingredient list, etc. Soft, appealing colors on each. A window was cut out of the middle for you to see it.
Staff Test: Our taste testers all tried one and were in agreement that the taste was subtle, not too sweet. The herb or flower bits in each one didn’t come through in the taste. I have my stick from the Peach Marigold, and will plant soon to see if it indeed will produce some flowers. Emma planted hers already.
Bride Test: Every person we showed and explained the lollipops to was amazed and delighted. Some were a little skeptical on the flavor combos we had out, but assured them the ones we sampled were tasty. Very positive response!
Cost: Prices start at $27 for a dozen up to $108 for 48.
SacBride Approved: We felt like these were delicious and creative favors for a unique and ecofriendly option, and perfect for a bride who wants her guests to have something to remember long after the wedding has passed.
