How did you meet?
Alissa and Luke met through Bumble during the last half of the COVID year. She has a fur child Lily (tuxedo cat) who was the best wing-man to their first date she could ask for. Their 1-hr date lasted almost 4 hours. They both tried to play it cool, but they found themselves drawn together during their boba date.
What attracted her to him?
Alissa loved how Luke was so genuinely himself and how he was so unapologetically happy to be artistic and creative.
What attracted him to her?
Luke loved how funny and warm Alissa was. She made him feel comfortable and like himself whenever he was around her.

Luke proposed after a hike.
Favorite part of the wedding:
Luke and Alissa were so excited to see everyone dressed up per their wedding theme “dress to impress”. Their goal was to create a day that was fantastical, whimsical, and truly enjoyable for guests. One of their favorite memories was seeing everyone on the dance floor, decked out in fits that absolutely made the dance floor look like a wild gathering of spirits.
Most unexpected part of your wedding day:
Alissa and Luke’s wedding day took place in early May, an unpredictable season that can easily vacillate from balmy mornings, to sunny afternoons. On their particular weddings day, the rain was coming and going. Their original plan of holding the ceremony outside seemed tentatively cancelled until about twenty minutes before the allotted ceremony time when the clouds parted and the sun came out to bless the crowd of seated guests in time for the ceremony to take place outside.
What, if anything, would you differently?
Alissa and Luke wish they’d had a longer wedding weekend.
