25 years publishing Sacramento Bride & Groom. Amazing to me that this magazine is older than my youngest child. I didn’t originate this magazine, but I did take over as publisher in 2011, and worked for the magazine for 7 years prior to that. So all in all, I’ve been doing this for 16 years, more than half the time it’s been in existence. The celebration happened 3 weeks ago, but it’s still fresh in my mind. Magazines are out at over 40 locations, with more to come. No longer being sold retail, the issues are free to all the brides who would like one.
Our cover is pretty special, so look for more about that in an upcoming blog about how that came to be. What this is about is my thanks to all the wonderful wedding vendors that I’ve had the honor to work with over the years. Thank you to those of you who still think print is important. As much as we love tech, there is nothing quite like holding the magazine in your hands and getting to read, touch and see the beautiful images created by our editorial team, or the fabulous photographers who share their craft. I loved seeing the smiles on the faces of our guests as they flipped thru this latest edition.
Thanks also to the vendors who helped me out: Mimi & Co, Accents by Sage, KMG Cuisine, Above & Beyond Cakes and Lolita Vasquez – Image Society.
